My coffin for The Andes...

So we have paid the deposit on the trip. Hiking boots? Check. (and they say 'Trek' on the tongue, so they must be the right ones, huh). Back pack. Check (and an awesome one at that). Sleeping bag for VERY chilly nights high up in the Andes? Double check. Its a minus 5-er. And it's coffin shaped. I didn't make it up that's what it's called. Coffin. Mwah-hah-hah. They didn't have one in all black, which would have made me very happy, so I went with red. Red like blood. And coffin shaped. Mwah-ha-hah. Enough of the sillies. S's is blue. And let me tell you, they are TOASTY. I could only have it on a few minutes, I was getting all warmed up, feeling rather like a sausage roll.

Can you believe we will be there in some 300 odd days? It seems so unreal. Now to save for the flights and the rest of the trip. And the spending money. Good Goddess I hope the Aussie Dollar improves agains the US, or we could be up the proverbial creek. But at least we would look stylish in our trekking paraphenalia.
